My name is Lama Khaleed. I am a daughter, a student, and a survivor from Gaza. I was pursuing a degree in Office Management and Automation, driven by the dream of building a better future—for myself and for my family. But the war changed everything. Our home was destroyed, and with it, my family’s hope of seeing me graduate.
There are no schools left. The universities and classrooms that once shaped our goals are now shattered buildings. My education was my path forward—but now, it’s just a memory.
Like many students in Gaza, I’ve gone from writing assignments to worrying about survival. No teachers, no lessons, and no certainty that learning will return anytime soon.
We now live in a tent. Food is scarce and prices are impossible. Five kilograms of wheat costs more than $100, if you can even find it.
Most of us are hungry, and clean water is nearly gone. Every day is a struggle—to find food, to stay warm, to stay alive. Famine is everywhere. Gaza is not just suffering—it is starving.
Still, I haven’t given up. I believe that people around the world can hear us, and that they care. Your support could help me and others like me survive this nightmare.
